چکیده

This study aimed to elucidate seasonal reproductive patterns by associating the immunolocalization of steroidogenic enzymes responsible for estrogen and androgen synthesis, cytochromes P450 aromatases (P450 arom), 17-hydroxylase/17,20-lyase (P450c17) respectively, as well redox partner NADPH cytochrome oxido-reductase (CPR) in male mud turtle (Kinosternon scorpioides). The animals were collected at São Bento, Maranhão, Brazil. Testicles epidydimes from 38 adult characterized immunohistochemistry (IHC) western blotting. Data analyzed two seasons: dry wet season. In addition, gonadosomatic index, morphometry, concentrations testosterone, corticosterone, estradiol analyzed. changes biometrics, cell testicular steroidogenesis between seasons support that produced Leydig cells might influence germ production during spermatogenesis, expression arom P450c17 play a role quiescence. We found P450arom, P450c17, CPR are present testes epididymides both seasons. These findings state quiescence season active spermatogenesis

Influence of Wet and Dry Season on Milk Composition of Dromedary Camels (Camelus dromedarius) from Tunisia

This study investigated the effect of season (wet and dry) on milk composition of the dromedary camel (Camelus dromedarius). Milk samples representing the wet and dry seasons were analyzed for total solids (TS), fat (F), solids-non-fat (SNF), ash, crude protein (CP), nitrogen soluble at pH 4.6 (SN), mineral content (MC) and casein fraction (CnF). Camel milk had higher (P

Wet and Dry Atmospheric Depositions of Inorganic Nitrogen during Plant Growing Season in the Coastal Zone of Yellow River Delta

The ecological problems caused by dry and wet deposition of atmospheric nitrogen have been widespread concern in the world. In this study, wet and dry atmospheric depositions were monitored in plant growing season in the coastal zone of the Yellow River Delta (YRD) using automatic sampling equipment. The results showed that SO4 (2-) and Na(+) were the predominant anion and cation, respectively,...

Wet Season Upwelling and Dry Season Chlorophyll-a Describe Interannual Growth Rates of Porites in Southern China

Southern China hosts coral communities in marginal environments that are characterized by low linear extension rates, low coral cover and/or no reef formation, thus providing natural laboratories to study coral communities with below average growth rates. Here we compare the annual linear extension rates over 10 years (range 1.2 to 11.4 mm yr-1) of six Porites sp. coral cores collected from Hon...
